After asking the Adams family, what has helped make your companies successful throughout the past 28 years, it became clear from the smiles that they had passion and commitment to the storage industry. We started reminiscing about the history of the land which led to funny stories about the old family farm house, a crazy goat and selling “Adams Apples” from the highway. Eventually, Gord & Pam Adams purchased the farm from his folks and started the unique business, Adams Storage Village Ltd., in 1983. Over the years, the two sons have joined the Adams Storage team and helped grow the company to be the largest storage provider in Victoria, BC. Making sure we are the leaders in Victoria’s storage industry without losing the family feeling is important, explained Scott. We are a privately owned company so each customer has different needs and we are focused on helping every customer the best we can. Listening to our customers challenges with their rental truck experiences is the reason we started Adams Truck Rentals, said Jim. Why should we allow our customers to have a stressful move? This was the question which persuaded our family into starting its own Rental Truck Company. We are committed to making this industry better by providing exceptional customer service. Sounds simple doesn’t it? Being a family company is our strength as we truly care about the customer’s experience.
Presently, the Adams Family is employing seven committed staff members who all share a passion for the storage industry. Our secret is TRUST, when you can allow yourself to trust another person you are opening yourself up for development. We are constantly changing and evolving to stay ahead of the industry, by having each person work together we are able to stay committed to growth and to being a leader in self storage.
